On the evening of 15th June, 2024, the first performance this year of Victor’s Windrush play, Streets Paved with Gold, took place at the St John’s Centre in Manchester. Despite a minor technical hiccup, the event was a resounding success, captivating the audience and leaving a lasting impact.
The turnout was impressive, with a diverse crowd eager to immerse themselves in the poignant and powerful narrative of the Windrush generation. The play not only entertained but also evoked deep emotions, reminding us of the legacy, respect, and appreciation owed to these pioneering individuals.
